Some of Churchill’s staff flew to Cambodia to work on a number of sustainability projects in the disadvantaged Ta Skor Village located 20 kms South East of Phnom Penh, including assisting with the construction of a new school and hydroponic vegetable farm.
Director of Churchill Consulting, Todd Mairs, said the experience had been extremely rewarding. “The people of this village are extremely disadvantaged in the way of food and education. If we can help in such a small way by providing our time and resources, it is surely a positive step towards a better future for the Cambodian people.”
As well as the more labour-intensive activities of building and construction, the Churchill team also provided Raw Impact with a strategy session to help with the development of its long-term strategic plan.
Troy Roberts, CEO of RAW Impact, praised the efforts of the Churchill team in adding value to their projects. “We really appreciate the support of companies like Churchill”, said Mr Roberts. “By flying to Cambodia where we are based, they have been able to help with our on-ground projects as well as providing invaluable consulting advice to our organisation.”
Churchill Consulting is keen to continue its support and partnership with RAW Impact under its ‘Giving Back’ program, which encourages staff to get involved with various types of giving and corporate volunteering.
